Need advice pls...

I 'm a permanent resident in this country. I had two life insurance policy's  in my name for which I was paying till i came into the UK which is 5 1/2 years ago & was taken out by my father. My father has been handling tha payments for the policy after & has not let me kno anything further to do with it. Also before i came here he got me to sign a power of attorney paper which I kno has been nullified after 2 yers as per the law in my home country. I had asked him for the papers as I wanted to make arrangements for payments by myself form uk to which he said it will be very expensive & did not handover the policy papers to me. In fact he wanted me to sign on blank sheets of paper to continue with the payments. To be honest I do not kno whether further payments were made from my joint account with him or from a joint account with my mother or from his (Dad) own account as I was working in my home country when the policy's were started but my father was handling the payments which then was paid from my own personal account.He is not ready to handover the papers nor discuss anything furter about the policy papers.

Wat I would like to kno is ,where do i stand with these situations

*Is my father entitled to keep the policy papers with him?

 *What if further payments were made from his account or my account ?

 Wat if no payments are being made to continue with the policy?Does it become nullified & do I lose all the money I hav already payed earlier?

Wat am I supposed to do to get my policy papers back? 

PLS  PLS  PLS someone give me some advice.I'm in a desperate situation with my family bcos of this & dunno wat to do...PLs help...
