Be really careful - I got an online divorce with a different company but a mate of mine used an online company with a similar name, maybe the same one, it had 'quick' in the title anyway and regretted it. The service was lousy and the legal knowledge was nil.  If you want a really good online company I can recommend divorce-solicitors-online.com - very good but a bit more money as they are proper solicitors.  They were still cheaper than non-online solicitors though.  Good luck

In the same vein I would recommend divorce-online.co.uk. They have a Quality Mark from the Legal Services Commission, Professional Indemnity Insurance and have processed over 35,000 divorce cases since 2000. All their staff are legally trained and are subject to continuing professional development. They are also very friendly and you can actually speak to a real person.

Fernando

You can issue what is called a desertion petition together with an application to the court to dispense with service of the petition.

If the court accepts this then you will be able to proceed to divorce her without her knowledge.

As she has gone abroad the court is more likely to grant the application to dispense as it will be very difficult to trace her.

An on line divorce might be ok if there are no complexities....and no cash to negotiate over... divorce is a life changing event ....you need proper support and help...this can not be provided from some semi qualified (if you are lucky a paralegal) individual at the end of a computer. Remember....what appears to be cheap can be very expensive if things go wrong!

I would say that a paralegal with 20 years experience would indeed be more qualified than a 2 year qualified Solicitor. Without mentioning the company 36,000 clients in 7 years cannot be wrong. How many Solicitors can say that?

I suggest you search for a good family lawyer in your area using our services directory.

I tried to use this company a couple of months ago, but sadly before paying £65 pounds they failed to inform me that they do not provide  their service in scotland (silly me for not understanding that scoltland doesnt belong in the UK). Eventually I realised while filling in the forms that they were only refering to England and Wales, so I promptly asked for my money  back, which they refused.  I tried on several occasions to point out their misleading website, but to no avail.  Ive given up now as I have heard of other people with the same problem with this company.  Does this tell you enough about how this company operates.  They can take your money but dont feel they need to provide a service.  In effect, they have taken my £65 for nothing.
