how do they calculate the finance and ancillary settlment?

Hi  everyone!

Im going through a divorce and waiting to  get my decree from the courts. I was married for almost 4 years, and we have two children together, ( I am the primary carer). my ex currently sees the kids on the weekend until the courts make a proper court order with respect to contact. My ex owns 4 houses which are tenanted, significant savings and is very well paid. The marital home however was not owned by him, so i know that i cannot have a matrimonial homes right on that house. Does anyone know how a settelment is calculated, will I still be entitled any thing, Im quite upset that my two children will not have anything to secure their future?
