When my partner of 17yrs decided to leave our family home 8 years ago our son was 12years old. At the time he refused to provide any financial support for our son but continued to pay the mortgage, which at this time was £165.00 per month.  I thought that he should at least be paying some sort of maintenance for his son so decided to contact the C.S.A . After submitting his accounts i was awarded £5.00 per week....Yes just £5.00. Being as i couldn't prove what he was actually earning there was nothing i could do, rather the C.S.A chose not too. Two years later he found employment with a major construction firm as a projects manager earning in excess of £55.000 per year. At the time i had no written proof so once again got no joy from the C.S.A, i now have some written proof of his earnings from that date. My question is, even though our son is now 20yrs old is there any way i could get any back dated maintainence.
